Care and FeedingSterling silver, no fireline or silk:
The best way I’ve found to remove tarnish without chemical ick: a paste of kosher salt, baking soda, a toothbrush and hot hot water. This should be OK with almost all stones, careful with pearls. Or use your normal sterling cleaning procedures you use on other stone/pearl jewelry. Prevent tarnish by storing in a ziploc with a penny or copper piece of some kind.
Sterling with silk or fireline:
I use a “dry shampoo” of kosher salt and baking soda – you’ll be pleased at how well it removes the tarnish anyhow.
Gold Plated glass – gold plated delicas are stated to be stable color by miyuki, however I do NOT recommend wearing these pieces as “day in day out” jewelry as the plating can wear. They should be fine with occasion wear (going out, dinner dates, museum shows, etc.) Treat them like the high maintenance beauties they are and they’ll be good to you.
Environment disclosureThese products are made in a cat friendly environment, and one where smokers (my boy smokes cloves, nasty habit) are exiled outside. It is highly unlikely that any of your items or packaging will smell of smoke, as they are not directly exposed, but the extremely sensitive may want someone else to open these items for them and throw out the packaging prior to handling. Your health is my concern!
